ASSISTANT NURSING(GDA & PUBLIC HEALTH)
The General Duty Assistant (GDA) course trains students to work as nursing assistants in hospitals, nursing homes, and other healthcare settings. The course covers a range of topics, including patient care, training, procedures, and communication. The General Duty Assistant or GDA program is designed to provide quality care to patients admitted in nursing homes and hospitals. The responsibilities of a GDA are to ensure that those under their care receive timely medication, assist in daily routines and tasks that some patients will not be able to perform themselves, and also help maintain a suitable environment for a patient’s recovery.
